Retreat Information
A Buddhist meditation retreat in the tradition of Chögyam Trungpa, Rinpoche.
This 7-day meditation retreat, led by Roland Cohen, will help you cultivate loving-kindness, wisdom and compassion. Meditation practice is how we learn to gently, very gently be with ourselves – make friends with ourselves and to be in our world in the most simple and direct way.
One of the definitions of the Dharma is “non-aggression.” We don’t have to reject anything – in fact, we already have the innate ability to be with any experience as it is. As we gradually work with our habits, a completely fresh approach presents itself – we actually don’t have to seek a different “me.” We don’t have to reject our conflicts, we can finally relax with them and see how to touch our own experience – whatever it may be. We begin to make friends with ourselves.
Please join us for this wonderful opportunity to deepen our practice (for those who are experienced meditators) or to learn to meditate (for those who are new) in a nurturing and intensive environment.
