Retreat Information:
Dive into flow and your organism’s innate wisdom to heal and transform itself. Several cultures in different periods of time have used our bodies’ innate capacity to heal itself and to promote self-transformation and shifts in consciousness. This is something modern science hasn’t fully understood yet, but more and more scientists are becoming interested in the topic through the different modalities that use this capacity. This healing wisdom can manifest itself through different means, usually through spontaneous body movements.
In the retreat, we’ll use two of those modalities: TRE and Inner Dance.
TRE – Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises is a technique that has been used worldwide to support and help people dealing with tension, stress, and trauma. It was developed by Dr. David Berceli to trigger involuntary, but self-controllable, movements/shaking/tremoring, also known as neurogenic movements. From healing chronic pain to experiencing more calmness and presence, TRE has supported thousands of people around the globe in increasing their physical and mental health. There’s a great joy in reconnecting with your own self.
Inner dance is a modality developed by a Philipino man called Pi Vilarazza. We use music and sounds to stimulate different brain waves and states of consciousness. It can be a profound meditation, similar to yoga nidra. But it often evokes spontaneous and involuntary body movements and shakings. It is another way to evoke neurogenic movements.
